Tell us about yourself! Your names, occupations, where you are from, and how long have you lived in this area?
We're a family of four: Ana Maria (mom), Jeffrey (dad), and our twin girls, Elinor and Emilia, who are 3 and a half years old. We moved to Ponte Vedra in June 2022 and absolutely love it here! I, Ana Maria, am originally from Bogotá, Colombia, and I work as an attorney. My husband Jeffrey, who is from Delaware, works for a beauty supply company. We're excited to be part of this wonderful community!
What were you looking for that led you to the link?
We moved just after the pandemic and both of us work remotely. With our twin girls sometimes being a bit of a distraction, we were looking for a quiet space nearby to work from. We noticed the beautiful building next to Publix, and after a quick Google search, we realized it was exactly what we needed—and only 4 minutes from home! We had no idea it came with extra perks like yoga classes, great coffee, community events, and fun things like Halloween celebrations. That was a fantastic bonus!
Memberships like the Silver membership were meant to provide more work-life balance to families. Can you tell us how the membership has contributed to that?
We initially started with the [individual membership], which was great, but Jeff couldn’t go to the link without me since [we had the individual membership]. He really liked the space and found it super productive for work, so we decided to upgrade. Plus, they offer something called ‘Kids Night Out’—a 4-hour event for the kids so we can have a date night, which is normally $50 per child. Since we have twins, that would be $100, but with the $120 membership, we get all the benefits of The Link and passes for Kids Night Out! It made perfect sense and has been totally worth it. We've been really happy with the decision!
How have you enjoyed coworking at the link? What are some things that you like about the space?
We both love coworking at The Link! The atmosphere is great, and we appreciate how clean and organized the space always is. Being surrounded by others working hard really helps promote focus and productivity. It's such a nice break from the distractions at home—like the kids or the temptation to snack with the kitchen so close! Plus, having coffee or tea included in the membership is a great perk that we enjoy!
You have two twin girls. How have they enjoyed using the benefits of the Silver Membership like the 24 kids Night out passes?
We absolutely love Kids Night Out! It's what really made the Silver Membership worth it for us. Our girls get so excited, feeling like they’re attending a 'big girls' party, while we get the chance to have a little date night, catch up, and enjoy a glass of wine. We also attend other events, like the pet event they host during the year, which the girls absolutely adore. Even though they're still young, we can't wait for them to be old enough to participate in the STEM and Robotics activities!
What would you say to a family that is considering getting a silver membership or upgrading to the Silver membership?
The Silver Membership is totally worth it, especially if you live nearby! It’s such a great perk when you need a break from the distractions at home. If the kids are making it hard to focus, you can just head to The Link, get your work done in a fresh environment, and maybe even check off a few errands at Publix. It’s like a mini escape from the everyday routine. Working from home can feel monotonous, so this change of pace really helps. We're thrilled to be part of this community and can’t wait to see it grow, hopefully with our girls making lifelong friendships along the way!
